The Architects were commissioned to do the interiors for Godrej Crest Independent Townhouse Residence, located in Bangalore for a Villa concept keeping in mind the “luxury” appendage for the prospective home buyer at the upper segment. TADC derived the design philosophy from the concept of minimal eclectic style. The design brief given to the Design Team was to create a magnificent, stylish and yet a warm feel for the residents who would eventually occupy the building. The structure has four level + below grade parking. Car Entry level is at the basement, which also houses the eight seater Home Theater. Level 1 at Podium has the Living Dining and kitchen. The dining area opens out into a cozy open to sky , teak boarding deck with a lap pool inset and a water cascade wall. Level 2 has the Family room and a Guest room cum study. Level 3 has two bedroom suites and Level 4 has the Master bedroom suite and an attached open to sky private terrace. Careful attention has been given to the selection of materials and color, which has been kept predominantly white, interspersed with color blended either through the fabrics or the artifacts which have been especially sourced keeping the “Zen” look in mind. Lighting design is predominantly soft keeping the lights in recessed ceiling coves, the rest in pedestal and table lamps as accent lights. You can very well tag the aesthetics as “White Magic”
